We want all to be part of making our hall a modern, future-proofed facility providing welcome, care and prayer in the heart of Bures for generations to come.
The hall requires substantial structural work — we don't want anyone to one day fall through the floorboards! Our plans include replacing the floor, modernising the kitchen, creating a new meeting room, and completely redesigning the walkway and toilet facilities.
The floor will be replaced throughout. The stage and entrance porch will be removed to maximise usable space, making the hall more flexible for the whole community.
The kitchen will be expanded to run the full width of the building and completely refitted with modern equipment.
A new meeting room will be created between the kitchen and the hall, with hatch and door access — perfect for smaller gatherings and groups.
A new wood-framed glass corridor will connect the spaces, with three separate toilet rooms — including a disabled/baby changing facility — each with individual sinks.
